Amazon.com Review Sex, romance, shoes, lingerie, diet, guns, war--Marie Claire is a grab bag of hot issues for the modern woman. Combining a powerful feature on gun control laws with an article on the best lingerie to wear with low-slung jeans, Marie Claire proves that beauty magazines need not be all fluff and no substance. It provides one-stop shopping for the Cosmo woman craving a little more from her fashion magazine--the kind of woman who can talk politics while painting her nails and solving her relationship woes, all while on the treadmill. Yet for all its attempts to become a jill of all trades, Marie Claire remains a powerhouse in one field: beauty. From the hottest lip or polish color to the latest haircut, from the best tools of the trade to the must-have scent of the year, Marie Claire remains unsurpassed as the best source for beauty advice, and those pages alone are worth the cover price. --Daphne Durham
Product Description Marie Claire offers solutions for the woman whose time constraints demand one resource to respond to diverse aspects of her life. From global and cultural issues to fashion and beauty coverage, Marie Claire is for the woman of substance with an eye for style.

Fashion and Compassion January 9, 2009 J. Paolini (Dover, NH) I have purchased this magazine for some years now. Not only does the magazine include wearable fashions, monthly it enlightens me to a serious problem regarding women and/or children in our world today. The most recent, an article about how counterfeit handbags and designer goods are made by children who suffer under the hands of slave labor to women in Somalia who still endure female mutilation. If you have an eye for fashion and compassion for people around our planet, this magazine is a must read!
A Simple Review January 9, 2009 Amira Rayne This magazine used to be good...but now, it is boring...the interviews are boring...I don't even bother reading them, they seem to mainly just tell you a couple things about what the person they are interviewing is doing at the time...what they are wearing, and ask a few questions...I cancelled my subscription too...there are TONS of ads!!! Ads take up most of the magazine! The only clothes they recommend...are usually more than $100. So unless you want a magazine that is mainly ads(I swear they take up more than the actual stuff they write about!)I would NOT recommend this magazine to anyone! The things I did like about it, just seem to have disappeared.
Marie Claire magazine January 6, 2009 L. Miesen (Lancaster, PA USA) This magazine was requested by my daughter for Christmas. She felt that she had time to read 3 magazines a month, and this was one of them. The first issue arrived much earlier than I expected. Great service!
Better than others January 6, 2009 Anonymous This women's magazine definitely has a lot more to offer than other women's mags. It is well rounded with fashion, beauty tips, as well as pertinent stories about women (not only celebrities) as well as recommendations for music, books, movies etc. It's definitely not the same content every month, which is the most important thing for me.
Oh, and with the offer from Amazon, I got a whole year subscribtion for only $3! Nothing beats that!
quality more so than quantity December 3, 2008 Mrs. Meadows (Fort Polk, Louisiana) I like how more socially/culturally conscious this magazine has become - it usually has an article every month about women's culture in some area of the world. I have gotten the best ideas from this magazine of where my charitable contributions would be greatly needed and used. It's still what I'd consider a lighter read ...I'd say that with this magazine's content it's quality more so than quantity. I really look forward to this magazine in my mailbox every month.
