2 out of 5 stars wont keep long enough to find out if it lasts   December 26, 2008

my 5 year old was so excited about having her own laptop! but once we turned it on, the screen is black and white, difficult to read and i cant figure out how to get the games started. she did however but does not like it. i guess these days she plays on my real laptop - the money would have been better spent on a computer game for our family laptop. she is warming up to it but still it was a disappointment. i just hope i can find a way to get the reciept from her great grandma without hurting her feelings. :-( or at least find out where she bought it. if anyone knows where its sold i woulkd appreciate it.

1 out of 5 stars Terrible laptop - don't waste your money!   October 18, 2008

My daughter received this laptop from her grandmother last Christmas. It didn't take long for the laptop to stop working. First, the sound stopped working, then the entire laptop died not too long afterward. It didn't work properly but for a very short period of time.

My husband told his mother the laptop stopped working, so she purchased another one, the same brand, much to my dismay. We accidentally opened the box prematurely (it was supposed to be a Christmas present). For a 4-year old, it's terrible. In learning how to spell a word, it goes entirely too fast. If she wants to use it, I have to sit with her all the time with it, so it's totally not useful.

I wonder how long it will last. I won't be too disappointed when it stops working, because I will be getting a Vtech for her, something a bit more reliable and much more sturdy and more educational.

My son received one of the Blue Hat Teach & Talk for Christmas. He was thrilled! Within a month, the mouse stopped working. Eight months after receipt, the whole laptop has stopped working!

1 out of 5 stars Worst Laptop Ever!!   January 2, 2008

My daughter got this laptop last year for Christmas. It blew through the first set of batteries in a week, the second lasted about 2 days, and the third set of batteries lasted no longer than a few minutes. She received another one this year for Christmas. Knowing it was exactly the same, I gave the toy a week to work. No surprise when today, 8 days after Christmas, the toy is already not working correctly. The sound has disappeared and there are several lines on the screen that are no longer showing. I would recommend VTech!!!
